City leaders care about their communities and are focused on finding effective ways to improve services and create welcoming, engaged cities where people want to live, work, and play. But knowing how to do that — and what to implement to be effective — can be challenging. That’s why this five-day learning challenge is designed to be simple and easy.
How does it work?
Each day for five days beginning May 12, participants will receive an email with a selection of resources related to that day’s topic. The topics vary and all connect to city services, with a focus on building communities that are welcoming and engaging.
You can choose one or more resources each day to read, watch, or listen to, whatever fits your schedule and interests. Each topic includes multiple options, so you can engage in a way that works best for you.
For those looking for even more, the “Dive Deeper” section in each day’s email offers longer-form resources like toolkits, guides, and recorded webinars to help you explore how the topic might apply to your city’s work.
Every city has different needs, challenges, and goals. The challenge is designed to be flexible — use what’s helpful, and skip what isn’t!
By participating in the five-day challenge you will:
- Grow your understanding of various topics related to ensuring your city is welcoming and engaging to all.
- Engage with diverse subject matter experts.
